Woods Hardwick - Commercial Architecture

Approached by Leicester University to look at the feasibility of student accommodation on this site close to the existing campus, the proposal envisages demolishing the existing factory warehouse building currently occupying the site and building an inter-linked series of new accommodation blocks. Woods Hardwick presented a scheme which addressed the frontage along Eastern Boulevard by using a palette of contemporary materials and forms to bring vitality to a riverside location. 130+ single bed student units were proposed on a tight constrained site within a residential setting and split over a staggered multi storey floor plan.
